We are very happy this year to be able to offer a variety of After School programs Monday thru Thursday from Carisbrooke (see below). There are also alternate Out Of School providers which provide care for children from Carisbrooke.

VVN POTTERY - SCULPT & CREATE!
Who doesn't love sinking their fingers into a soft ball of clay? In this class, we will explore hand-building and glazing techniques in a relaxed and encouraging environment. Our goal is to get children excited about clay and all the possibilities the medium offers. In the process, they will develop their hand-eye coordination, expand their patience and focus, have fun getting dirty, and build confidence in their abilities at the same time. We hope to complete a few pieces to show off to friends and family, but the real end goal is the fun and creativity that is unleashed along the way! • Dates: Apr 8 – Jun 10 • Times: 3:00pm - 4:30pm • Grades: 2-7 • Price: $360 + TAX • Registration TUESDAYS
ARTMANIA - CLAYMATION: MONSTER MASH MUSIC VIDEO
Build your sets and learn to sculpt convincing characters, while discovering the world of animation. Students will gain ideas for their own animated music video by watching a selection of animated videos for inspiration. Join us to create a fun sculptural stop motion video to add to show to your family and friends. 10 Classes to create and have fun with your friends! • Dates: Apr 9 - Jun 11 • Times: 3:00pm - 5:00pm • Grades: K-7 • Price: $400 + TAX • Registration BRAINSTEM - ROBOTICS ENGINEERING: INTRO TO SEQUENCES AND SENSORS A robotics engineer is responsible for designing, creating, and programming robots. Robotic systems can perform duties that humans are either unable or prefer not to complete. They help make jobs safer, easier, and more efficient, particularly in the manufacturing industry. The specialist and managers will reinforce their robotic concepts from the Level 1 course. They will work with the sensor and advanced programming to face a variety of challenges mixing mechanical design and programming design to solve problems. The LEGO® Mindstorms EV3TRIBOT Model materials and the EV3 Classroom (Scratch like) GUI software are also used in this course. We offer a fun filled arts & crafts program for your child to express their creativity and individuality. We help them build confidence and self-esteem while working on their fine motor skills, literacy skills and self-expression through concept to completion of a project. They will be exposed to a variety of techniques from printmaking, multimedia, collage, painting, clay modelling, tie dye, sewing and more. Throughout the term, the children will be learning new skills and sharing their ideas in an inclusive and friendly environment. • Dates: Apr 17 - June 12 • Times: 3:00pm - 4:30pm • Grades: K-7 • Price: $297 + TAX (15% sibling discount) • Registration SAPLINGS - OUTDOOR PROGRAM Saplings believe in using nature as a key part of a child's education, promoting a love for learning and the outdoors. Teachers help children understand nature's importance, and the program is flexible, allowing kids to explore their interests. Daily activities include nature-based projects like building forts and fairy houses, fostering creativity and appreciation for the natural world. ARTMANIA - GAME DESIGN
We have a booming game development industry here in Greater Vancouver, some say the digital media capital of Canada! There are a lot of roles involved in making a game but before the programming even starts, there’s an original story to be written and an entire world to visually capture. We’ll learn from the work of famous concept artists, illustrators, and designers about techniques for creating memorable characters and stories. Before we ever had video games, board games reigned supreme for immersing us in fantasy worlds. Create your own board game complete with resin game pieces! The sky is really the limit when it comes to games, so it’s the perfect outlet for creative kids! • Dates: Apr 11 - Jun 13 • Times: 3:00pm - 5:00pm • Grades: K-7 • Price: $400 + TAX • Registration SPORTBALL - INDOOR MULTISPORT Sportball’s Multi-Sport classes focus on the basic skills common to all sports, like balance, coordination, and timing in a fun, supportive, non-competitive environment. THE LORAX Sing Dance Act Shine! At Lights Up Afterschool, your child can experience the joys and benefits of musical theatre by taking part in our after school programs led by our talented and experienced Lights Up Musical Theatre Schools staff. These classes are a unique introduction to our weekend musical theatre programs and provide students with an enriching, rewarding, and most of all, fun after school activity right at the bell! OUT OF SCHOOL PROGRAMSThe following are private out-of-school care providers for Carisbrooke Elementary, and are listed for current and prospective parents for general information purposes only. PLEASE NOTE: The Carisbrooke PAC is NOT responsible for the operations of these programs. These programs are offered OFF the school grounds and the students will leave Carisbrooke grounds for the duration of the session. Lil Bloomers childcare Located at the church on the corner of east Windsor and St. George’s, they have recently expanded their program to include before and afterschool care. Hour : 7:30-5:30. Saplings Outdoor Program K-7: Saplings Outdoor Program is a nature-based, walking curriculum originating from the German forest school approach. The instructor collects the participants at the front of the school and then depart school grounds and return just before pickup time.
